Flags of War a kind gesture

Hi folks if you remember I liked Flags of War ECW flags which I found very lovely, but too small for me. Ian from Flags of War got wind of this and since he is resizing his ECW and TYW range to a larger sized flag has very kindly offered to replace my flags free of charge which I of course duly accepted with gratitude!

Ian makes flags that he thinks best fits a period in size and so I'm sure he will happily give you the size of flag of any range he offers to help you decide if it's right for you. The graphics are beautiful that much I'm positive you will be happy with!

I'm pretty darn happy as I have GMB and Flags of War to cover most things I need which is great as it's a pain making your own!

  9. Some great posts over the summer Christopher. Why is it you always make me look at other periods I'm currently painting. It goes without saying I also collect French for F&I but I only finished one unit. So I'll follow with great interest. I'm using Redoubt and recently Galloping Major. The Irish look tremendous as well. I've sold mine and changed to covenanters but I have regrets looking at these :-)
    Cheers,

    1. Hi Michael,

      Thank you!

It's very nice to have you back! When you said your posts and reply will slow down a bit I didn't know you meant the whole summer!

Are interests will always very similar. I do plan on buying some Galloping Major as well.;-) The French I've done for the FIW so far are the formal battle formations, but I plan on doing the skirmish elements as well. How can one not!:-)

In regards to the ECW I'm of course not surprised we both are doing it, but I must say I don't have a great interest in the Covenanter's which fortunately my friend does. However, I will be doing some lowland Scots formations to fight alongside my highlanders and Irish.

      Cheers
      Christopher
