Vikings #2


I just haven't had much time to post this month for various reasons, but finally getting one in. I've been painting and have report to write so more things coming when I get more time. These are some of my re-based Vikings that I've been working on for SAGA and Impetus. Vikings are among my favourite periods well actually all dark ages is.:-)  

The figures are all Foundry and the flag is LBM.

  4. Terrific painting on those Vikings, love the first picture with the ships in background, the variety of hair and beard colours and different animal skin colours, plus your excellent basing tops them of nicely!

  5. A lot of time and attention to detail must have gone into these, wow what a unit! I love the dusted down effect on the shields, really gives them that rough feeling. This is how Vikings should look, I hope Ragnar is watching and paying attention.

  11. your work on the vikings are pure and utterly brilliant painting! great colors and figures, the flocking of the bases look fantastic! also top notch photos and display of the figures....two thumbs up!

  23. It has been said several times and I will say it again, that first picture with the Long ships in the backdrop is fantastic. Flesh tones are also superb Christopher.

  26. Fantastic Figures, Christopher. We'll have a SAGA competition at the next AttritiCon - If you can make the time it would be great to have you there and to face these ferocious Vikings in Battle (and to send them to Walhalla, of course!)

  27. Ha Vikings! First army I ever painted were Vikings and did a SAGA warband later :-) Great work on those Christopher and good to see you're still going strong here!
    Background perfect as well. Is that a reality in scale (modelscene) mat you're using?
