Just finished my command and mortar squad a few days ago and now getting around to posting them. At this point I'm ahead of my friend on points and so I'll take a break and paint some of my other back logged stuff while he catches up to me. We also managed to get a game in of Disposable Heroes. I'll post some pictures of that if the pics come out.
As always thank you for viewing!:-)

Fantastic painting, Christopher. As with the German paras, I can't imagine these figures painted better than they are here. Stunning!

Giles
Those are incredible, exceptionally painted and based.
ReplyDeleteThe basing is absolutely fantastic!!!
ReplyDeleteThe painting in itself is great, how many are done now of the regiment?
They look better every time I see them. Awesome basing. I picked up a few of the bits you recommended at Salute. Great stuff.
ReplyDeleteVery nicely painted and those bases are quite stunning aswell, good work sir.
ReplyDeleteExcellent work on these!
ReplyDeleteThank you everyone!!:-)
ReplyDelete@Colonel
Thanks for the nomination!
@Lord Siwoc
Finished-HQ with attached MG,2 Rifle Squads and a Mortar Squad= 39 Miniatures
Still to do-1 Rifle squad,1 MG section and a couple vehicles, but this will be later as my friend has to catch up on points first.
@Zombie Ad
I hope they prove useful.
Cheers
Christopher
I really like your painting style Christopher, very vibrant colours. I try to get my own figures to have more life about them but I have come to the conclusion that no matter what I paint: Samurai, ACW or Naps my colours look a little flat (It's just my style I guess)
ReplyDeleteKeep up the great work!
Cheers
Paul
Thank you Paul, but you should know my figures in real life are not quite so vibrant. I ratchet up the contrast to better see the miniatures using a white background. However, that said I do like my colours strong on my miniatures. I suggest looking at my AWI as that has a normal background and gives a true picture of my miniatures. You will see that the colours are indeed strong, but not so in tense like the ones shown with a white background.

Your fantastic work on ACW has pushed me over the edge on what is already my favourite period and I've now ordered a shed load of 28mm Perry and Redoubt ACW. Stay tuned!
Cheers
Christopher
Wow! Spectacular painting and spot-on basing. Looks like a French pasture.
