This is a fantastic book that I highly recommend.It tells the story of the Christian alliance headed by Spain and it's struggle with the Ottoman Turks in the Mediterranean in the 1600's.It reads more like a story then a historical account and this has everything to do with the authors talent.
The account of the furious fighting for Malta in particular is absolutely engrossing and just keeps the pages flying.
An absolute must for anyone interested in the period and also a worthy read for anyone just interested in some historical reading.
