Union Marching (15mm)

Catching up on posting some of my 15mm ACW revamp project as I have a backlog of it. I finished these last year, but didn't get around to posting it yet. Plenty more of this in the future as I would like to see my 15mm ACW collection grow as I have quite a few battles I would like to fight.

Figures are once again Old Glory15's and the lovely flags are GMB designs. I expect these guys to see plenty of action with FoB2 and RF&F. I might even try them with Longstreet and see how that goes.

Thanks for viewing!

  2. Magnificent 15mm painting Christopher, once i have the next installment of 28mm Swiss out the way i will be getting back onto 15mm myself, with some legio heroica burgundians and a large pile of old glory Landsknechts to follow, seeing your old glory ACW is a great encouragement!

    Thanks

  5. Absolutely stunning troops Christopher, what paints do you use to get your dark and light uniform blues?

    1. Thank you very much Paul. The dark blue is done with Howard Hues Union Blue, ink wash AP strong tone, highlighted with Foundry Deep Blue C. If you don't have Howard Hues Union Blue simply use Foundry Union Blue B which is virtually the same. The light blue is Howard Hues Trouser Blue, wash, Foundry Trouser Blue B. Again if you don't have Howard Hues then use Foundry trouser blue A. I hope this helps.

  6. Simply superb Christopher! I could scarcely believe they were 15mm Old Glory. I painted some up 20 years ago and they look no where near as good as yours! Very inspirational!

    1. Thank you Rodger! Re-basing is a truly thankless task so I don't envy you, but sometimes necessary to do the things you want and in fact I had to re-base some of my 15mm ACW!

    1. Thank you kindly Nick! It's shaping up to be a pretty good size collection, but I still have a lot more to do before it's where it's needs to be to host the games I want with the unit sizes I want. I plan on getting some more done after the challenge. ACW is like Naps in that you need a lot figures and that's just how it is.:-)
