Fallschirmjäger MG42's Machine gun platoon(15mm)
Adding some more pics of my growing FOW Fallschirmjäger army. This is a much needed addition to keep those allies heads down as MG42's can really lay down the fire power in a rapid volume.
Miniature Company-Battle Front(FOW)
I see, well next group I'll try a closer shot without distortion setting in as often happens on the small scales. I want to see more of your Russians btw.:-)
I had the impression that the last 15cm you posted were a bit closer to the camera. I might be mislead by the photos though.
I want to see more of the Russians as well. :) I was experimenting with varnishes last week and soon I'll be moving away for a little while, so I don't want to start anything I can't finish. I will be taking paints with me so hopefully I'll be drinking vodka by the Volga again soon. ;) Besides I am participating in the Sweetwater swap so I had that miniature to paint. I just finished that one, so I hope I can take a picture in 2 or 3 days after the varnish has dried.
That's very perceptive Doc!You are correct in that the last set were closer, but unfortunately in this group the close ups came out badly(distorted)and so I had to reduce the size a little bit to have a presentable picture, although I didn't shrink it very much at all and that just shows not much escapes your attention!:-)
These really are some of the best painted FoW figures I've seen. Top quality, Christopher (as usual). Lovely basing too - another calling card of yours!
Another excellent addition :)

yet again an other nicely painted platoon.
ReplyDeleteNow, where is the close-up of these beauties??
ReplyDeleteNice to see you painting... I am not at the moment so I need to have lots of eye candy around to keep me going. :)
Thank you guys!
ReplyDeleteDoc,just click the pictures and you should get a much closer picture if your curious.
Cheers
Christopher
I did! Wasn't close enough for me! :)

Very, very nice my friend. Love your camouflage, blends in great with your bases. Are you using some type of sand/ballast on your bases or a putty?
ReplyDeleteThank you Gentlemen.:-)
ReplyDeleteThe base is first a filler layer and then when the base is finished I add a fine sand layer to the top followed by grass and foliage.
Cheers
