Therefore, they are making bad business choices on a matter of pride as most of their old stuff is the best and discontinuing them is a huge error. They have to know their new figures are very unpopular. If they were smart they would commission some of their old sculptures to do some more figures for them or get some new ones that can sculpt to their old standards.
We can always hope.

Cheers
ChristopherChristopher(aka Axebreaker)https://www.blogger.com/profile/13205928451375232865noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5649434062142208873.post-38129018197742225722012-01-24T07:52:04.165-08:002012-01-24T07:52:04.165-08:00That gives us a nice insight. Apparently some sculpters still get fees over sold products...MiniMikehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04818743972462962721noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5649434062142208873.post-81897109458536516572012-01-20T18:23:17.813-08:002012-01-20T18:23:17.813-08:00Christopher, love the new look of your blog.Christopher, love the new look of your blog.Captain Richard's miniature Civil Warhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17149386738466118837noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5649434062142208873.post-50459545666129703152012-01-20T12:16:27.556-08:002012-01-20T12:16:27.556-08:00Thanks for the support folks!

I know what you mean on trying to keep up on all the blogs!

@VFW

Catton is the greatest IMHO because he could make the Civil War interesting to just about anybody and not just to the choir. His ability to portray atmosphere is unsurpassed of which I think is very important.
The others you mentioned are very good no question, but their appeal is largely to Civil War enthusiasts or to the historians teaching classes.
Other then that I really don't know what to say other then we disagree. Enjoy your readings as I know I do.:-)

Cheers
ChristopherChristopher(aka Axebreaker)https://www.blogger.com/profile/13205928451375232865noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5649434062142208873.post-86411594625479030562012-01-19T10:43:45.824-08:002012-01-19T10:43:45.824-08:00Only place I have to disagree with you is on Bruce...Only place I have to disagree with you is on Bruce Catton - Having recently taken some graduate level history classes - Catton is consider a "pop culture historian" by most serious historians. Gallagher and McPherson are considered much better to just name a couple.VolleyFireWargameshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14558522852896871065noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5649434062142208873.post-56804612399269939942012-01-19T10:27:40.025-08:002012-01-19T10:27:40.025-08:00Great read and a tad more concise than my ramble :...Great read and a tad more concise than my ramble :-)Sgt Steinerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17805201299484374889noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5649434062142208873.post-28471852482258722492012-01-19T07:22:33.555-08:002012-01-19T07:22:33.555-08:00An interesting selection, Christopher. Now you feel that pretty much every gamer has one and keeping tabs of them all is almost a full time occupation. Still, it's a privilege to have insights into other people's collections and, in your case, their superb painting and modelling skills.

Best wishes

GilesGileshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01431052344684945450noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5649434062142208873.post-15662856697180639602012-01-19T05:07:35.140-08:002012-01-19T05:07:35.140-08:00An awful lot I agree with there, great stuff and I...An awful lot I agree with there, great stuff and I may have to do this myself.....The Angry Lurkerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01227314379603418332noreply@blogger.com
